there are some things
that simply make me happy to see them.
i don’t know why.
little fine wooden
works of art.
my gram and i used to hang out the clothes using them.
a dog maybe barking occasionally in the distance.
every once in awhile a car on the street going by.
big white houses.
some with widow’s walks at the very top.
huge trees that fair nigh touched the sky old bean!
a fragrance of freshness in the air.
sunlight and shadow.
the smell of clean.
the feel of damp clothes.
the sheer simple happiness of it all!
i want to
walk into this flower.
in there are memories of my childhood.
my grandmother’s home.
my mother’s home.
upstate new york.
cool and fragrant
lush and green
the stream running through our own.
i can hear my gram calling me.
i can still feel my mother hugging me.
to be that child again.
to be in the company of such women.
women that meant the world to me
and still do.
women that i have tried to be like.
they were that loved.
without being goody.
they were just themselves.
they were just who they were.
good for my heart old bean.
i heard kind of a neat thought yesterday.
i heard that we don’t need to worry.
feel bad that we can’t change the world.
all we need to do
be kind in our own little world.
our own part of it.
to the people all around us.
it said if we each would do only that
just that one thing . . . each day . . .
the circles would widen
and the world would be a better place.
these beautiful flowers
that we have walked into today
are from a blog that is not active anymore.
but still . . . just like my little peanut blog . . .
i love to visit it.
she is a young mother and photographer of life.
the name of it is daily colours.
cool thoughts from famous people.
some even very wise.
you would enjoy it i’m sure.
i found it easily through a sidebar link on one of my other
favorite blogs . . .
writing with light.
and that one is in my own side bar if you’d like to visit!
always a unique post there
i hope you have a terrific weekend old bean.
what you want to do!
and that somewhere along the way
you walk into a flower too!
love and snoopy hugs!
til soon old bean.
