little bits of wisdom from jacob.
this of course is not jacob.
but he’s very much jacob’s alter ego.
and he wears glasses like my jacob.
and oddly enough the facial expression looks like jacob!
and. oh yes. they’re BOTH simply adorable.
jacob likes his glasses.
when you’re as loveable and cool as jacob
they only make you look more distinguished!
here are some of my favorite jacobisms of late.
he’s 9 now. but one of these dates back from when he was 7.
just this past christmas when i was out there visiting . . .
he offered me a glass of welch’s sparkling grape juice.
” i think this has a nice bouquet tam. “
and you know what? it really did! LOLOL!
and to further reinforce that we’re raising a little james bond . . .
as you know he mentioned lately that he wants a tuxedo . . .
while watching some movie on tv where the man was in a tuxedo
standing there with his black tie UNTIED . . .
” that’s just disgusting. if you’re gonna wear a tuxedo you should always
keep your tie tied. i do when I WEAR A TIE. “
his father then drily remarked . . . “your tie is clip~on old buddy.”
i once asked jacob if he was ever going to get married. i think he was 7 at the time.
his answer . . .
” yes. i am tam. i’m sure gonna get married and have 3 kids. “
why? said i
” because. if you’re married you’ll always have somebody to play with
when you get sent to your room! “
jacob is a very social little guy.
the worst punishment for him is being sent to his room.
and the best of all . . .
a month or so ago jacob was calling me fairly regularly after school.
apparently there was this big kid that was bullying him a bit.
we would talk at length about it.
i urged him to talk about it with his mom and dad.
he said confidently . . .
” no. i can handle this tam. “
at christmas i asked him how it was going with the bully.
his reply . . .
” oh. he’s not a bully anymore. i made him my friend! “
oh my jacob.
i’m thinking we could use you in washington!!!
jacob’s the cool one in blue.
til soon old bean.
