shhhhh . . . .
is it . . . is it ?
? ? ? . . .
can it be ?
nothing is sweeter to me than the sound of the rain.
and when it comes here gently. life giving.
instead of life taking and with powerful winds . . .
well. it’s a lovely miracle.
and i awaken to a gentle rain.
my heart sings like a parched little bird.
give me not the sticky sweetness
the cloying flowery strong smells that drowse the senses.
when they create this scent
in all its reality and not just a sham . . .
the freshness of rain on a pine forest in the early morning.
then i shall wear perfume.
but what of the next best thing in the world?
a delight to our senses.
the alchemy of silver light and liquid.
the sound of water.
splashing over ancient rocks.
traveling to the sea.
our bodies are over 60 % water.
is it any wonder why we love it so?
it is of the same importance to us as our own rivers of blood.
a defining factor in every human being.
how we love you !
our precious water.
how we need to work harder to protect you.
and keep you clean and pure.
and now . . .
the cool green grass.
home to gazillions of microscopic lives.
and yet so wonderfully tickley to walk upon barefoot!
pardon our giant dinosaur steps please.
and oh my!
there is always
is the song going through your head right now?
‘ they call the wind mariah. ‘
it’s beautiful isn’t it? it’s one of my very favorites.
especially sung by harve presnell in the epic and beautifully made film
‘paint your wagon.’
starring lee marvin and clint eastwood and jean seberg.
and the real backdrop of the entire pacific northwest.
unbelievable beauty. unbelievable music throughout.
and a truly funny story.
sometimes hilarious. other times very poignant.
totally entertaining. whether you like musicals usually or not.
this one is well worth it.
a beautiful man. a powerful voice.
if you want to hear the song. click below.
but then be sure and click the back arrow up top to come back to me old bean!
it gives me chills every single time i hear it.
and speaking of chills . . .
george knows how to cool off.
george has visited the peanut before.
now that’s a look of cool satisfaction.
this kind of wind has been wonderful this summer!
and so necessary where i live.
but i find this kind of wind beautiful too.
sculptures that capture the wind.
i find these very beautiful indeed. and it is the answer to the future i think.
i know it’s controversial.
but if we can harness the wind. and make it into usable energy in such a
clean and elegant manner . . .
why would we not want to do that?
this is another beautiful kind of wind.
and deadly. oh so deadly.
this is when mariah is angry.
we know mariah well where i live.
well old bean.
time to mosey on.
it’s always good to see you here.
i hope you have a wonderful weekend.
you deserve it.
remember . . .
to love and enjoy every little thing in this thing called life . . .
and drink lots of water !!! LOLOL!
til soon old bean.
