cheers old bean!
glad you dropped by on this valentine’s day.
i’m just a few hours early.
but i was in tulsa all day and i’m tired.
going to publish this a bit early.
remember in grade school?
i guess it’s properly called elementary school ~
remember valentines day?
we used to decorate a shoe box and keep it at our desk.
then all your classmates would put a valentine for you in the little slot.
pretty exciting stuff!!!
i was like charlie brown and his unrequited love
for the little red haired girl.
my unrequited love was for joe.
he wore a snow white fresh t-shirt to school every day.
he was cool before joe cool was cool! LOL.
i can see him now.
i never could wait to see if he left me a secret valentine.
one of course that claimed his heart was mine.
though i would not have known what to even do with his heart!
but puppy love is the sweetest.
here’s what my zeke would have looked like with his puppy love ~
i haven’t got a clue how to get rid of the writing at the bottom of this picture.
what i fell for was how much this little guy on the left looks just like
even wearing his tuxedo.
but then it’s valentine’s day.
as you know
zeke always was one to enjoy looking like the gentleman he was.
i’m not a mushy kind of girl.
but i always liked valentine’s day.
you don’t have to buy them.
you can make one.
some folks make and deliver a lot of them.
some folks get a kick out of funny ones.
but me . . .
i just like a hug
and a smile
and to know that i’m thought of fondly.
i like nose kisses from
some of my favorite furry people . . .
the snoopies in my life . . .
yup. love is in the air.
heck. it’s even in the hamster community.
and sometimes it finds strangers declaring undying love
when they never would before
wherever you find your love
or whomever you’re hugging and kissing today
i wish you love too!
just think. if we really spread it around
maybe it would reach all over the world
and things would change.
well. of course.
i’m not going to hold my breath old bean.
but it’s a nice thought.
