from wren house.
this is one of the walk ways on the way to my apartment.
i moved yesterday.
last night was the first night to spend in my own bed in my own apartment!
as i write this i’m sitting looking out my window.
when i look over my right shoulder there are french doors
out to my balcony.
i’m as snug as a bug in a rug.
and that is very snug.
the only things i didn’t try to bring were my round dining room table and chairs. and the oblong dining table/slash desk that used to hold the tv at wee blink bonnie.
there just wasn’t room and i didn’t need them.
i kept my computer desk ~ a dining table really ~
from the little library. do you remember it?
it works perfectly underneath the window here at wren house.
this morning i opened all the blinds and the winter sun shone in and it was pure delight!
everything is put away. neat as a pin. my book friends are in the bookcase in the bedroom alcove.
there are all my small lamps scattered around to light the corners.
it’s all good!
to tell you the truth when i awoke this morning
i had the strangest feeling that i was staying at some lovely expensive suite in a resort somewhere! it has that feeling to it. LOL.
well. maybe just to me.
it takes very little for my romanticizing of life to kick in. LOL.
but i like it. i’m a happy person.
i’m also a worn out person.
i don’t know why.
i tried to help as much as possible
but as you might expect
THANK GOD FOR MY MARINE.
he carried heavy stuff.
he hooked up the computer and tv.
he hooked up the washer and dryer ~
which of course was the wrong prong or something ~
but he said easy to fix.
i simply kept him in good nourishing dinners and breakfasts.
he’s a keeper.
i will post some pictures of how it looks one day.
for now i am simply settling in as one settles into an old comfortable chair and kicks their shoes off and sips a delicious drink and opens a good book they’ve bookmarked.
it’s good to be home.
cheers old bean!
love to you from me at the wren house!
