the greatest gift
other than love
this is a day for not many words.
i just wanted to share
some beautiful images with you.
speak to my heart.
i’m a die~hard romantic.
i see beauty.
i admit the practical problems.
but i don’t see those first.
first . . .
i see the beauty.
this old world needs more of it.
and more love.
my wonderful scenes of snow.
and always . . . a bridge
and after that walk . . .
hot chocolate to warm your hands and your heart!
or tea . . . in a beautiful cup
put your feet up and read a good book
or a kindle!
or watch a perfect old classic movie
don’t forget the you-know-what!
barbara stanwyck and robert walker
in christmas in connecticut
never underestimate the power and the beauty of
a tiny intimate dinner for two!
it needn’t be as fancy as this . . .
but isn’t this simply beautiful?
and beautifully simple?
i could certainly stand to wake up here in the morning!
this is all fine and good.
this is how the other half lives.
or . . .
i guess i should be politically correct
this is how the 1% lives.
but you know what?
how we choose to see this world is up to us.
we can secretly see our own world
the way the 1% see it.
you don’t have to be rich you know.
as a matter of fact . . .
statistics say they aren’t even that much more happy.
they’re probably too worried about
losing all that money! LOL.
~ ~ ~ ~
there is beauty everywhere.
makes the difference
a patch of sunlight on snow.
if you’re in a warm climate
the delight of sun in winter
the smiling face of your beloved dog
ALL free beauty.
yours to behold.
it’s just a different mindset.
read uplifting words
sing at the top of your voice!
smile free smiles
and get them all back
or . . .
i sound like a pollyanna.
can’t help it.
i are one.
used to apologize for it.
can’t do that anymore.
the glass half full kind of thing you know.
i live in a drought stricken part of the land . . .
the grass is brown and crunchy.
there’s not a snow covered bridge in sight.
much less a beautiful walk with huge trees.
but when i see these pictures . . .
i can walk there.
it uplifts my soul to see such beauty.
and that’s what it’s all about.
i’m a pollyanna.
an official card carrying member of the cockeyed optimists.
so long as it doesn’t get on
til then old bean.
hugs to you from p.a. on the prairie.
