ever since i was a little girl . . .
. . . i’ll spare you a picture of me back then. LOLOLOL!
we’ll give my new toy ~ the scanner ~ a rest. shall we?
even the word was magic to me. and still is!
no worries! no more walks down memory lane for a bit.
only this . . .
this . . . the ever present bliss of the moment.
here are some pictures that i love.
here is what makes autumn so wonderfully autumny.
i know. the word is autumnal. but i don’t like that word.
it’s heavy sounding. and just a little pompous.
i like autumny. i suppose it could be spelled autumn-ee . ..
i mean . . . since we’re making it up and all.
now that word conjures up
hot cocoa and red sweaters
and pink cheeks
painted on with fresh air !
and crunchiness under your feet when you walk.
and wind blowing leaves around.
and distant train whistles in the rain.
and longing to go somewhere . . .
but glad you’re only going back to coziness at home.
and of those that i remember . . . i have given credit. and if i’ve missed
one and it’s yours. please forgive me!
some are new. but . . .
i saved many of them LONG before i ever thought
of having the peanut.
i saved them all only because they’ve touched my soul with their beauty
and i love looking at them. time and time again.
walk with me. the best is yet to be.
this beauty is near my friend rosemary’s cottage.
you can find her in “content in a cottage”
you’ll find it in my friends link.
can you hear the water? i can!
i stop by her blog many times a day. and there’s always something
fresh and wonderful to see! not to mention webster.
who’s webster? you’ll just have to see for yourself. he is special.
the freshest smell in the world! rain on a deep pine forest.
this is from my friend elizabeth hart’s blog . . . the same name . . .
you’ll find it in my friends links “elizabeth hart.” an artist in words and
photography both! her work is simply enchanted. not enchanting.
there’s a difference!
even wicked old pirates have to admit . . .
this is glorious! almost too much to be believed.
and no. you don’t have to rake the leaves. you can just admire!!!
the colored lights reflected in the rain washed streets.
the cars make a swishing sound. i love that sound.
when we get home the house will smell like vegetable soup.
there will be warm fresh baked cornbread too. yum!
we’re in no hurry. we stop at the lights. the city is aglow with the rainy
a city transformed.
and if you want . . .
after this long autumn day . . . just relax. put on some good music.
light a little candle to dispell the darkness.
and now here’s a toast ~ just for you . . .
and no. i didn’t write it. i wish i did. i don’t know who wrote it.
i’ve just always remembered it because i think it’s beautiful.
and . . .
my friend tracy took the picture above that inspired this toast.
her blog is prana light. she’s in my friends links too. ‘prana light.’
her blog is a treat for your senses and your soul. i collect artists.
i love how they see their world.
” your laughter’s in the treetops. . . . your smile is in the grass.
i hear your little muffled sigh . . . in all the winds that pass.
and when i drank a toast tonight . . . your face
was in the glass.”
well . . .
now you see only a little of why i love autumn so . . .
i’m wishing for you
enough mist to keep life interesting . . .
a blaze of scarlet to awaken passion you forgot you have . . .
a bench not far away for when you need to rest . . .
no set path
so that you can see your life as the grand adventure
that it is!
and that you stay well and strong and
up for the task!
tammy j and the peanut
hahahaha! sounds like a 1950’s singing group. LOL. doowop doowop . . .
