it’s another rainy day here. and i’m so happy.
and that’s only ONE of the reasons for this post!
number 2 reason
i visit angus’s blog every single day. i’m never disappointed there.
i started when it was all about his little polish lowland sheepdog
named wilf . wilf looked just like my zeke. only wilf was all white.
where my zeke was black and white.
and my zeke’s tail had not been bobbed.
wilf was beloved around the world.
he was valiant. and adorable. and like my zeke . . . he died of cancer.
what can you say? it’s not all sad. it’s amazing to know them
and angus shared his wilf with us. the laughter and the sad. life.
and . . . well. wilf was simply wilf.
you can still get to know him yourself. visit angus’s side bar.
wilf had a little brother . . . digby . . . that captured hearts too.
just the daily life of living in a village in france with wilf and digby.
and then just wilf.
and even if dogs are not your thing. . . . ca choque’ ! ! !
now . . . the blog is called ‘the rickety old farmhouse.’
and angus (a scot) and “the font” (a swede) . . . who is angus’s
gourmet wife . . . who is also the font of all knowledge! lol. . . .
these are wonderful people to know!
inspiring and funny and witty and elegant in a down to earth way . . .
i could go on and on!
but angus doesn’t like a fuss made. i know that.
the link to his site is in my friends on the sidebar.
it’s ‘the rickety old farmhouse.’
now it is about their colorful life in the village and beyond.
but mostly just the village.
and sometimes ‘colorful’ is not enough word to capture it ! ! !
think . . . more like . . . your favorite pink panther movie.
number 3 reason
the reason that suzanne pleshette is the picture on this post . . .
two reasons actually.
i’ve been wanting to get a bike. i always want one in the fall.
it’s the perfect riding weather.
the other . . . just pure nostalgia i suppose, on my part.
i used to look very much like her. back in the old days.
when i was the apple of my bob’s eye.
now i probably look more like the other bob. you know . . .
the bob that was her husband on the tv show they were both in . . .
you remember . . . the bob newhart show! LOL. LOL.
(notice how just one lol wouldn’t do?)
this is a message to mr wise owl and all my friends
in the 100 acre wood.
i think i can pace myself now.
i know that i’m a control freak. i think that’s what they call it.
but i don’t want a ‘set’ day or days to write here.
when i find a great site like the one angus shared today . . .
and heck . . . just to share angus’s fabulous site too . . .
I WANT TO DO IT RIGHT NOW ! ! ! I DON’T WANNA WAIT !
til stupid mundy or stupid thursdy.
so . . . i guess i’m saying.
i’ll just try not to become addicted to this computer thingy.
and i’ll post whenever i feel like it.
maybe not every single day. but no set-in-stone days either.
i still love all you guys in the wood though.
and i’ll make time to have you for tea and huny, pooh bear.
and i’m grateful that you cared enough to do the intervention!
and now . . . drum roll . . . and TA DA ! ! !
if you want a little treat . . . and you’re of a certain age that you
like classic pictures of classic people . . .
visit this site . . . courtesy of angus’s blog himself today . . .
he’s the one who discovered it .
it’s called “rides a bike” http://ridesabike.tumblr.com/
see ya when i see ya!
*(my next post is rated pg 13. but actuallly is quite harmless)
